THE CAT IS ON THE STAIRS

The story is of hope, belief and ultimately prayer. This is explored through the experiences of the two characters, Michelle and Jenny. We follow Michelle’s relationship with Jenny and her personal struggle of self-acceptance.

Michelle and Jenny are in their thirties, they have been close friends since childhood and since that time Michelle has been deeply infatuated with her friend. The cycle of relationships that Jenny has with men, who are violent and deceive her, are shared with Michelle who gives Jenny all the support she can. Jenny goes through life seemingly unaware of the strong feelings that her friend Michelle has for her.

Michelle works as a truck driver; she has an honest approach to life and is aware of the injustices that prevail. She has built a hard barrier to shield a deep sensitivity belied by her tough exterior. In this story we see both friends seek to resolve their unfulfilled lives by an acceptance to their true feelings.
